In the Community

"Time is the most precious gift in our possession, for it is the most irrevocable."

~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Pastor/Theologian

Community involvement is an important part of the learning experience at Chestertown Christian Academy.

Community Service

There are many avenues in which our students participate in helping others, both in our local community and abroad.

  • Operation Christmas Child Shoebox program
    • Our elementary classes bring in items to send to needy children around the world.
  • Missionary Encouragement
    • Every year we strive to raise $1000 to send to a missionary family with school-age children to be used for needs and gifts at Christmas time. Each of our families are encouraged to donate, and an offering is collected at our annual Christmas program.
  • Christmas Caroling
    • Our students spread the joy of Christmas by singing Christmas carols at local rehabilitation centers.
  • Christian Service Elective
    • One of the elective classes in the high school is Christian Service. This class teaches our students the importance and rewards of serving others. The high school students frequently spend time with the elderly at local rehabilitation centers, visit the disabled, and help teachers and younger students.
  • Blood Drive
    • We host an annual Blood Drive for the Maryland Blood Bank through which we encourage our community to come out and give the life-saving gift of blood.
